FARMOVS has access to one of the most diverse study populations that consists of 80% African, 8.3% Caucasian, 2.5% Indian or Asian and 8.8% smaller ethnic groups. FARMOVS has a broad database and a wide collaborator network which includes close collaboration with the Medical School of the UFS. Our established SMO network further extends our reach to some of the most rural areas, giving us access to treatment naïve participants and patients with various medical conditions.
On-site clinical laboratory services for clinical trials
Our on-site clinical laboratory enables us to decrease result turn-around time and offers an added service benefit to our clients. Our clinical laboratory turn-around times are between 2–4 hours and our dedicated medical technicians and technologists ensure that this service is available around the clock. Our ISO 15189 accredited clinical laboratory offers on-site analysis of the following items:
- Serology
- Haematology and ex-vivo coagulation
- Clinical chemistry
- Urinary analysis (including point of care drugs-of-abuse, pregnancy, cotinine and urinalysis)
- Rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing
- Variety of electrochemiluminescence methods
